Alex Claremont-Diaz, whose mom is the first female president of the United States, goes to Prince Phillip’s wedding with his best friend Nora Holleran. Alex doesn’t like Prince Henry, Phillip’s younger brother. Alex and Henry fight at the party, and the cake falls on them. The newspapers write about it the next day.
Ellen wants Alex and Henry to act like friends during interviews and public events to avoid lousy publicity after an incident because she is running for re-election. Alex tells Henry that he didn’t like him at first because Henry ignored him when they first met. Henry explains that he was still grieving for his father and couldn’t avoid public events. They become friends after talking it out and exchanging phone numbers.
